We are pleased to announce our participation in ALTA 2024, taking place in Perth, Western Australia, from May 27-31.
Please join us as our colleague Brett Schug presents “Thermodynamic Modelling of Rare Earth Solvent Extraction”, coauthored by Kevin Heppner.
This paper and presentation explores a fundamental first-principles approach for modelling rare-earth element (REE) separation by solvent extraction. This approach is embedded in a SysCAD model and connected to PHREEQC via our Thermodynamic Calculation Engine (TCE) interface. The simulation gives results for a full spectrum of REEs in an extraction, scrubbing, and stripping circuit.
We will also be hosting a booth as part of the international trade exhibition. We invite you to visit Brett Schug, Keith Armstrong, Peter Marsh, and Merry Huang who will be available to discuss the benefits of using SysCAD plant simulation software for the design, operation and optimisation of metallurgical processes.
Hosted by ALTA Metallurgical Services, ALTA is now in its 28th year and features two conferences: a 3-day Nickel, Cobalt and Copper conference and a 2-day Lithium, Battery Technology and Rare Earths conference.
Registration is still open. For more information, please visit: https://www.altamet.com.au/conferences/alta-2024/
